A. The initial three digits indicate the tires width in millimeters; thus, a tire labeled as 205 will measure 205mm across the tread from one sidewall to the other.

B. Following the tire width, the fourth and fifth digits in the tire code denote the aspect ratio or profile height of the tire sidewall. For instance, an aspect ratio of 55 implies that the profile height of the tire is 55% of its width.

C. The subsequent two digits in the code represent the size of the wheel rim that the tire is compatible with. Hence, a tire labeled as 16 will appropriately fit on a 16-inch wheel rim.
